What is a thermal bridge?

Thermal bridge is a place at points of connection of building construction elements where heat loss is increased, which results in worsening of whole building insulation and therefore increases energy costs. Bridges can be found for example in places of misplacing insulation panels (on walls, ceilings, roofs etc.). They lead to wall moistness and even development of mould and mildew.
