– polyurethane multi-purpose sports surface
A professional system designed for the installation of outdoor sports surfaces on multi-purpose courts, school facilities and recreational areas. It has been developed for projects where durability, user safety, playing comfort and an attractive surface finish are key priorities.
Key system features:

The system creates a seamless, two-layer polyurethane sports surface that combines a flexible SBR granule base layer with a durable EPDM wearing layer. This structure provides effective impact absorption, playing comfort, predictable ball bounce and high resistance to intensive use and changing weather conditions.
Purios Sport System has been developed for outdoor sports and recreational facilities. The system is suitable for applications such as:
Thanks to its high mechanical resistance and flexible structure, the system is ideal wherever a durable sports surface for everyday use is required.
Tartan sports surface or tartan flooring are common terms used to describe a polyurethane sports surface that provides appropriate impact absorption, grip and elasticity. These properties improve playing comfort, enhance user safety and make the surface suitable for multi-purpose sports courts, running tracks and other outdoor sports facilities.
The seamless structure eliminates potential weak points in the surface while the use of high-quality SBR and EPDM granules provides resistance to abrasion, intensive use, UV radiation and changing weather conditions.
As a result, polyurethane sports surfaces installed using the Purios system retain their performance properties over many years of use, providing durability, an attractive appearance and a high level of playing comfort.

Purios Sport System is a complete sports surface composed of three cooperating layers. Each layer is responsible for different performance properties and the durability of the entire system.
Primer layer
The first stage of the system installation is the application of a polyurethane primer. The primer layer acts as a sealer, improves adhesion to the substrate and reduces the impact of moisture on the subsequent system layers. It forms the foundation for the durability of the entire structure.
SBR base layer – 8 mm
The base layer consists of SBR granules bonded with a polyurethane binder. It is responsible for the flexibility and impact absorption of the surface as well as the appropriate ball bounce characteristics, contributing to playing comfort, user safety and the durability of the entire system.
This layer effectively absorbs loads generated during running, jumping and dynamic changes of direction, providing the required elasticity of the surface and predictable ball bounce during play.
EPDM wearing layer – 8 mm
The wearing layer is made of coloured EPDM granules combined with a polyurethane binder. It is responsible for the appearance of the surface, abrasion resistance and the mechanical protection of the entire system.
This layer determines the visual appearance of the facility, colour durability and the resistance of the surface to intensive use and weather conditions.

The quality of polyurethane sports surfaces depends not only on the SBR and EPDM granules but above all on the binder, which plays a key role in the durability of the entire system. That is why at Purios we use our own polyurethane binders manufactured in-house and developed specifically for sports surfaces. This allows us to control quality at every stage of production and offer solutions tailored to different installation conditions and project requirements.
Binders from the Purios Sport & Play HMP product range hold a PZH Hygiene Certificate. This document is issued by the National Institute of Public Health and confirms that the binders have been positively assessed in terms of safety and may be used in sports and recreational surface systems in accordance with their intended application.

The EPDM wearing layer is available in a wide range of colours, making it possible to design attractive sports and recreational surfaces with colourful zones, patterns and graphic elements tailored to the character of the project.
Thanks to the use of aliphatic binder technology, the system performs particularly well with EPDM colours that are most susceptible to changes caused by UV radiation, known as sensitive colours, including RAL 6011, RAL 7042, RAL 9010, RAL 5012, RAL 5015, RAL 5018 and RAL 4008.
The use of Purios HMP 220 UV provides the wearing layer with increased resistance to ageing caused by solar radiation. As a result, the surface offers better colour stability, slower fading and a longer-lasting aesthetic appearance.

More and more investors are choosing polyurethane sports surfaces because they combine high durability with user comfort, safety and an attractive finish. Purios Sport System makes it possible to create modern synthetic sports surfaces that perform very well on multi-purpose courts, running tracks, athletics areas and recreational spaces.
The flexible SBR base layer effectively absorbs loads generated during running, jumping and dynamic changes of direction. At the same time, it provides the required elasticity of the surface and predictable ball bounce characteristics, contributing to playing comfort and the overall sports performance of the system.
The coloured EPDM wearing layer is available in many colour options. This makes it possible to adapt the surface to the visual identity of a school, sports club or investor and to create court lines, markings and individual graphic designs.
Purios Sport System is installed directly on site, creating a uniform surface without joints or prefabricated elements. The open structure of the system allows rainwater to drain freely, helping the surface dry faster and return to use sooner.
The EPDM wearing layer provides high resistance to abrasion and weather conditions such as UV radiation, rainfall and changing temperatures. As a result, the surface retains its performance properties, attractive appearance and colour intensity for many years.
The uniform seamless surface makes everyday cleaning and maintaining the attractive appearance of the facility easier. The surface is resistant to intensive use and does not require complicated maintenance procedures.
The system can be installed either manually or with the use of specialised machinery. This allows the installation method to be adapted to the size of the project, site conditions and contractor requirements.
