Comparison of UV resistance of Purios Sport&Play HMP binders

UV radiation can affect the colour of the binder and therefore the final appearance of the finished surface. The comparison below shows how Purios Sport & Play HMP 220 UV, HMP 200 and HMP 210 binders perform when combined with different EPDM granule colours. This makes it easier to select the right product for the desired visual effect and the expected service conditions of the surface.

The UV resistance of the surface depends both on the quality of the EPDM granules and on the type of polyurethane binder used. The aliphatic Purios Sport & Play HMP 220 UV binder improves the resistance of the wearing layer to ageing caused by solar radiation. As a result, the surface offers better colour stability, slower fading and a longer-lasting aesthetic appearance.
