The Purios insulation system is the best way for your to insulate the ceiling and is also our flagship product. It consists of two liquid components sprayed directly onto the ceiling. When the two components mix, a series of reactions occur, resulting in foaming, and several seconds later the foam solidifies. Having applied several layers, you get an excellent quality polyurethane thermal insulation that does not require any assembly structures.

Insulating a ceiling with polyurethane foam – what you should know?

The fire reaction class proves a much broader issue than material flammability. The most of our thermal insulation systems have been awarded flammability class E. However, it is important that you take into account the greater hazards present during a fire than the fire itself. These include burning particles and smoke. Research and observations confirm that the Purios foam does not produce burning fragments; this marks a huge shift in how we think about fire safety.

There are known cases of building materials whose particles lead to serious diseases if inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Our products are completely neutral to human and animal health and life. This is certified both by the National Institute of Public Health – the National Institute of Hygiene and by nearly 20 years of experience in the manufacture of polyurethane systems and in the spraying of Purios foam.

The cost of the PUR foam ceiling insulation combines a price for the material and a price for the service. The polyurethane foam spraying is performed by experienced application specialists using specialised equipment. The polyurethane thermal insulation systems are divided into two types: open-cell and closed-cell ones. They were designed with other applications in mind. If you plan on insulating a timber ceiling with the Purios foam, choose an open-cell system. However, for a reinforced concrete ceiling, it is the closed-cell foam that will provide you with effective insulation. Do remember that you do not have to decide on a multi-year solution on your own – our advisors will help you make the best choice.

Spraying the polyurethane foam on your own will not provide you effective thermal insulation, as the one- or two-component foam (OCF or similar) is usually characterised by unsatisfactory insulating properties and also makes it difficult to achieve the uniformity of the surface.
